“Restoration Ranch may happen one day, but just as we plan for the birth of a baby we know is growing inside of us, and we share it first with our closest family and friends, I was eager to share this with you. Sometimes it’s not God’s plan. Sometimes and for some reason only GOD KNOWS, we suffer a miscarriage.
The morning after my Restoration Ranch miscarriage in late July, I asked my Husband if I will conceive again and if so will I miscarry the next conceived vision shortly before the birth? It happened to me physically—3 times I lost babies. But just as I did then when I celebrated ALL the children who did survive and thrive and multiply. I am going to do the same by celebrating and focusing and be thankful for the many ministries that have survived and thrived and are already multiplying!!
Is Restoration Ranch something in RMI’s future?
Who knows? GOD KNOWS!

While in SW Florida, just days from letting go (again) of much of what "I owned" I headed north to find a place closer to my son and his family. It was just a day before I left that He "shewed" me and spoke to my heart about "Restoration Ranch." I was so excited and shared this GOOD NEWS with my son, Easton—preparing him by stating "this is really, really crazy." What was even crazier was his response "I've imagined this for years"!! Is this the appointed time? Only GOD knows!
Nevertheless, just as when I was expecting all my babies, I began sharing the GOOD NEWS—what we'd envision and want to share it with you too!
RECORD THE VISION

Vision Boards have been popular for a while but this is the first time I've never used one. I suppose the closest thing to it, long before I'd ever heard of a vision board, was when I took poster board and cut out brown and green construction paper for a tree, yellow flowers for our prayers, and red apples for the fruit or answered prayers to help my small children understand how we needed to pray and believe but then wait for the appointed time.
Here, then, is my vision board. To find the pictures I felt led to search for acreage in Missouri, not far from where our farms had been. Even though this may not be the land He has for us—the bright skies, trees, and green fields are what our family dreams of having—a welcoming place for you to come join us for a visit.
So far we've envisioned and talked about two homes/offices to start (unless there are already buildings on the property). For me to live and my RMI Office would be very small, but cozy. The second would be a home for the Restoration Ranch Office, for my son and his family—with land to spare to build more structures and even land for the rest of my children and their families!
Easton Edward has agreed and is excited to be our Ranch Manager, while his wife's dream has been to have a garden, a garden where visitors can come to learn and just help with. My granddaughter told me she is hoping for a horse as she read in Horses Hoped For —after telling me how God had already given her a dog because He gave cats to her aunt, “Macy's Barn Cat.” We've all talked about having chickens and collecting the eggs each morning (just like her father and aunts did)!
The very first time we spoke on the phone when I told Easton about my crazy idea he'd thought about for years, I mentioned having RV hookups. I could just envision families driving out into the country and parking their RV or having a shady space to pitch a tent.
Right after I shared my vision of having more cabins with my Easton, I thought of his older brother who is a woodworker, a carpenter, who'd recently posted pictures of him staying a weekend in a similar cabin as what I'd envisioned. Days later, I realized the design I imagine is when the bottom half is framed in and the top half are screens—is just like our long porch from our farm we purchased and moved to in 2000.
Our farm was a place that was so peaceful, so restful, where I was able to relax to the point of actually falling asleep often! Back then, I had never taken naps (unless I was pregnant) so this confirms this peaceful environment is where couples and especially families can come for some R&R—to be RESTORED!

When Easton and I finally got together to talk about this "crazy" idea that we believe WILL happen we all sat down in their living room, Easton's wife asked if I'd see the Old Mill near our family home in Ozark and what they'd done. While scrolling through the pictures he mirrored on his TV, we all spotted this picture (above)...
AND that's when we all agreed that our camp needed to have a CHAPEL—somewhere special for couples and families to renew their commitment before GOD. Of course, RESTORATION Chapel will be much smaller but having something like this situated under the trees, with open sides, maybe even with a water or pond view, would be just perfect.
HIS GRACE, NO WORKS
Here's what I love most—we are not survivalists nor are we in any way the sort of people prepared for this endeavor so we will need ALL of His GRACE because we have no real prior training. When we moved to our farm we were "city folk" and our neighbors all we baffled that we lived—even thriving—on what God had given us for that season in our lives. That's why we are so excited, fools are who He chooses, isn't it? That way GOD is the ONLY ONE who gets the glory for doing the impossible!!
